Dear all,
Sorry for taking this question in English, my skills in writing German has diminished... However, reading and speaking it is no problem so please feel free to write answer in German.

I'm presently restoring an old brick/wood house outside Stockholm, Sweden. No Fachwerk here, nope sorry. But I am eagerly looking for pure Silikat farbe without latex or likewise. Of course I can find it in Stockholm but since I need rather large quantities it will be very expensive. Can you direct me to a source in Germany that may be willing to quote me for export to Sweden?

And:
A Fachwerk-forum like this may not be the perfect source for me and I may disturb you with my none-Fachwerk-related questions. Can you direct me to other German "restoration of older houses"-forum?

Dear Mr Johansson,
Two questions, two answers:
1st. If you look on the home page of "Beek Paintings" you will find information about mineral paintings and silicat
paintings in english. Please klick on www.beek.de. They also deal with so called biological paintings called "aglaia". Surely there will be other producers of silicate paintings, but then I'll have to look further. Try with Beek, if you don't succeed, write again, I'll try to find some other firms.
2nd. Don't worry about this "half timbered" home page, we also deal sometimes with non fachwerk topics. There is another group dealing with the restoration of houses (especially in the coutryside) in which I am also member, it is called "Interssengemeinschaft Bauernhaus"(interest group farmhouse), in short form known as IGB. They have a home page but only in german language: www.igbauernhaus.de.
Have a look there also, they have a bimonthly bulletin called "der Holznagel" (the wooden nail).
Sincerely yours,
Jean Hamesse
